Founded in 2009, the Policy Exchange is the University of Toronto’s premier journal of international and domestic policy. It publishes balanced, thoughtful analysis of contemporary policy issues in two formats – a peer-reviewed print quarterly, and an online journal, policy-exchange.ca. The Policy Exchange reflects a diversity of opinions, articulated by an equally diverse body of contributors: delegates to the University of Toronto Model Parliament, participants in the Public Policy Research Initiative, graduate and undergraduate students, and academics and policy-makers. Its audience is students, academics, and decision-makers in the public service.
Policy-exchange.ca publishes short, contentious monographs on current debates in Canadian governance, and domestic and international policy. No subject is outside its purview, however controversial, and no proposal will be censored, however inflammatory. Policy-exchange.ca also presents a digest of salient Canadian and international news, with commentary from its contributors.
The Policy Exchange Quarterly publishes longer, more detailed articles on public policy. Its rigorous peer-review process promotes thorough research and high-quality argument. The Quarterly also republishes select papers by academics, and government policy documents. Academic integrity is of paramount importance to the Policy Exchange, in print and online.
